| Rules of the game: Post 5 weird and random facts about yourself, then at the end list the names of 5 people who are next in line to do this.
Tagged by Pui Yan:
1) I would do anything for dim sum, except killing myself cuz then i wouldnt be able to eat it.
2) I've had gel (those used in science labs) thrown into my mouth before, doesn't taste like anything. as revenge, i smashed another bar of gel into that person's hair. fun times
3) Often kids forget to bring books or stationaries to school, but how many can actually say they forgot to bring their school bag to school? I can. (that was first grade tho)
4) I would stay up all night just to finish a harry potter book (done it twice now). wasn't feeling very well the next day I would say. but heck, that's summer times.
5) After I wake up, I am usually brain dead till noon. that's why i can't think of a fifth point right now. Edit: aight brain dead over. My fifth point: I declare that i'm a facebook whore.
I tag: Sean, Rebecca, Annette, Queenie, Derek
| so we were sitting in DOC today, and the professor was having a discussion with the students about characteristics that can define masculinity or feminism.
we got a whole list that defines feminism, ranging from make-up to being "nice and polite". but when it comes to guys (or masculinity), only 3 traits popped up from the crowd: Cars, Guns, and Lack of Emotions...how sophisticated. so yep, that explains the highway shootouts...
| aight. MIDTERM DONE !!!! i dont care how i did on them (especially ass-sucking Dimensions of CRAP class....) oh well. chem midterm was actually fun (what have i become... after swearing that i will never like chem in high school...). to celebrate my full week of sleepless nights, i am now spending the weekend at my sis's in LA, and determined to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but sleeping and hanging out.
driving up to LA was looong. what was supposedly a 2-hr drive up turned out to be 4 hours of traffic. kinda reminds me of those days in Hong Kong when my mom was trying to get my sis and i to school. traffic was so bad that we get stressed out without even being at school. I do feel bad for my sis for coming down to pick me up though :P this is actually my first time going "off campus" since school started, except this one time to UTC (this shopping center) 5 min away. anyways, my sis borrowed a projector for the badminton tournament, and they're now using it to show a movie on the wall. later
| God i miss those days of fire drills when we just get out of class in the afternoon and out into the field, not out of BED at 7.15 in the morning and freezing our butt off in the parking lot... | | |
| halo. well the chat box is gone, but that's ok. so it's been 3 weeks of classes now. how time flies. first it's monday, and before you know it, it's friday (maybe that's a good thing), but the homework during the week has been hell.
well classes are ok, not exactly the most interesting lectures I would ever attend, but it somehow manages to keep me awake most of the time :P computer programming's (the lecture with the incomprehensible professor at first) getting by. it takes a while to get the hang of his accent. just had our first quiz, hopefully that's ok. oh and i dropped my math class, dont rmb jack sh*t from Adam's calc 1 in junior yr (yep that's what stats do to you). sitting in math 20a, signing up for 20b again next quarter. but that one class i dislike the most right now is... DOC (aka dimensions of culture; a GE). lectures are kinda interesting, talks about issues around the globe, but the freaking thing about it is the amount of reading we have to complete during the week, and all the writing to be done. it's as if the prof and ta think time will stop just for their class. arghh so much for that.
social life's getting better, aka returning dorm later at night, aka lack of sleep. but im sure that's what college's about - lack of sleep. last night went out to movie on campus. got dragged to a "chick flick", titled Sisterhood of the Travelling pants, by a friend. in the end, i did not walk out regreting spending 2 hours in the theatre. interesting plot. wouldnt say highly recommended, but it's worth a good laugh. the campus here is quite nice, with a beach near by (saw dolphins down there once. did i say that before? but that reminds me a lot of sas interim, which btw, is done signing up) those good old times...
ok so it's 2 in the morning right now (5pm in singapore). dont know what im still doing up, prob because it's friday night. just felt like writing something on this thing, no matter how pointless it is (so i apologize if these entries bored you out). right now gona retire to my comfy bed and call it a night. goodnight.
